It's smegging back! Fuck the BB, this was the reason that TV was invented...my 'other' favourite TV returns on Friday and I can't wait.
So will new Dwarf be a success of New Who proportions or will it be steaming crap like New Minder?

Damn straight! Man, I'm getting goosebumps at the thought of it. I'm ready to explode with excitement!
I've tried so hard to avoid spoilers, it's been agony. I've had to walk away from so many conversations about it. And yet I've still managed to hear just about everything about it.
I won't say why at this point, just in case it acts as a spoiler to someone else reading it, but from what I hear about it, I reckon it's gonna be great! |

| TRIUMPH!!! Absolutely loved it. I was confident that it was going to be great, and I was not in the slightest disappointed. With regards to the hot potato subject of no laughter track, I must admit that I was concerned that no laughter would equals no humour. But no, it was hillarious! I know that this won't go down well in all quarters, but personally, I think that it enhanced it. Look out earth, the boys are back and in top form! Can't wait for part 2! |

| ...and it seems from what I've read & discussed on & off today, that I'm not alone in hailing it a success. I haven't heard a single bad word about it yet and I read on DS that it pulled in just over 2million viewers on Dave, and just under 2million on Dave De-Ja-Vu. From the top of my head, that's surely a UK multichannel record, isn't it? |

You haven't read the RD thread on DigitalSpy's Cult forum I take it?

Yes ... it has been a massive success for "Dave", with the channel
getting it's highest ever ratings of over 2 million, coming second
only to episodes of Torchwood that premiered on BBC Three |

No, I'd deliberately avoided the DS forum for fear of spoilers. I've started going through it now though, and whoa, doesn't look good. Which is weird, because I'd been discussing it with friends and a few people I know of online, and between us we unanimously agreed that ep 1 was a complete success.
Things took a tense turn though when ep 2 revealed a possible breakdown of the entire premise of RD, with the characters acknowledging their fictitional status and the actors portraying them.
But the twist which ended ep 3 made it all ok in my eyes. I found it funny. I haven't spoken to many people about tonights finale yet, but I'm happy with how it all turned out. Even if I stand as a minority, I think it was great. Wouldn't have felt that way if they'd ended it without that resolve though.
...Oh actually, I do have one complaint. I wish that Kochanski's cameo had been played by the one and only, the true Kochanski, Claire Grogan. |
