In eggs on legs II, a cameraman was run over by a jeep live on air.
The event was at a seaside town, so it opened with a baywatch parody that was supposed to culminate in Richard & Danni arriving in seperate open top jeeps. The lead jeep, carrying Danni, was clearly going way too fast and just ploughed right into the on air camera, cutting it's feed.
You could hear Danni screaming and crying, and a brief cut to another camera showed her in hysterics at a clearly nasty accident, and Richard too looking very grim faced whilst people were rushing in to help. Cheggars made an excuse about technical problems, cut to the news, and then for the next hour or so, just improvised with zoe during the scheduled roadshow slots.
The roadshow eventually went ahead and they came clean about the accident, with Keith saying that the cameraman had been taken to hospital. I watched all of this, did anyone else? If so does anyone know which cameraman it was and if he was ok? |
